Real-time Backup and Recovery Zextras realtime engine backup is Zimbra’s Disaster Recovery Strategy. It backs up every single item and event on your server, lowering the Recovery Point Objective to 0. The backup transactions are atomic and always consistent with no need for scheduled snapshots. It supports multiple undelete and recovery strategies: from restoring a deleted message straight into the user mailbox till recovering a whole domain.

Makes mobile use easy and more secure

We been using the zextra-suite for ActiveSync support and mailbox backup and are happy with it. We could disable IMAP this way and use SAML for the weblogin and the mobile password generator for the ActiveSync. Great product.

I Migrated from Centos 6.5 to 7.2 and Zimbra 8.0.7 to 8.7.11 - The server was busy going into a slow death, loosing blobs and getting all kinds of errors. This tool saved my arse!

Me pareció una buena herramienta porque es muy facil de usar con la interface grafica. El backup nos permitió recuperar información valiosa en pocos minutos, y la función de sincronizacion con celulares es algo que la version collaboration no trae. Es un excelente producto y espero que sigan desarrollando mas herramientas como estas.

Thank you for the new release!As a possibility for future development, it would be great to offer iSync capability as well. This is currently the only Network Edition feature that we really miss in the OSS version. (Well, Outlook 2011 Mac support would be especially nice, but the Zimbra team hasn't figured it out yet either...)

We moved from Netscape Messaging Server to Zimbra Collaboration Suite in late 2007 due to the clearly superior features Zimbra (even back in 2007) offered, like the Web Interface and the advanced collaboration opportunities and we never regret the choice for a single moment. In 2011 we discovered the perfect complement for our Zimbra infrastructure: ZeXtras Suite. It allowed us to serve and mantain a top-level service with a low impact on the costs. I wish to thank all the people at ZeXtras, keep up your great work.

The Zextras Backup Module
Zextras Backup is one of the modules of Zextras Suite.
It's designed to provide a backup and restore infrastructure to a Zextras enabled VMWare Zimbra Open Source Edition server, allowing a system administrator to backup any data and configuration on a live server with no downtimes, and to restore any previously saved data to any Zextras Suite-enabled server.
It takes advantage of the native RedoLog system to perform a real-time backup of ALL transactions on the server, giving the administrator a wide array of restore options. From a single-mailbox rollback to a full server recovery everything is possible, with split-second precision both on Single and Multistore environments.
The Zextras Mobile Module

The Zextras Admin Module provides a highly configurable 'Delegated Admin' set of ACLs to the Zimbra's Administration Console. Zextras Migration Tool is an extension built to scan through an Zimbra Open Source Edition server and export all the data and settings, enabling you to import the result with ZxBackup.
