What is it ?

SenderBlocker allows Zimbra users to block or allow incoming mails from given adresses and/or domains. The zimlet acts as a shortcut to the account Black/WhiteList, therefore revolves around Zimbra's blacklisting function.

To make use of this zimlet

• Select one or more messages.
• Right-click to open the context menu.
• Select the option to either allow or block the sender(s) or sender's domain(s).

The sender(s) email address will be added to the corresponding list (You may need to refresh the browser in order for the changes to show up in the Preferences panel).

How to retrieve the list of blacklisted/whitelised senders

Via the CLI for now:

  zmprov ga user@example.com amavisBlacklistSender
  zmprov ga user@example.com amavisWhitelistSender

Installing

  su zimbra
  cd /tmp
  wget https://github.com/Zimbra-Community/com_cloudtemple_senderblocker/releases/download/1.0.1/com_cloudtemple_senderblocker.zip
  zmzimletctl deploy com_cloudtemple_senderblocker.zip

Then go to the Admin Console and make sure to enable the Zimlet, Configure -> Class Of Service -> default (or any cos you want) -> Zimlets -> comcloudtemplesenderblocker and check Available and Enabled.

  • Tested on Tested on 8.8.15 patch 22, zmcontrol -v Release 8.8.15.GA.3869.UBUNTU18.64 UBUNTU18_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.8.15_P22. Zimbra 8.8.15_GA_4026 (build 20210416084316) And it still works, maybe you have a cache issue, install steps added to Github.
